Lean Turkey Chili

1 lb. lean ground turkey, 99% lean 1% fat
3 tbsp chili powder
2 tsp ground cumin
2 tsp onion powder
2 tsp garlic powder
2 tsp dried oregano
2 tsp salt
1 tsp cayenne pepper
1/2 medium onion, finely diced
1 carrot, shredded
1/2 bottle beer 
1 can fire roasted diced tomatoes 
1/2 of 32oz can crushed tomatoes
1 can black beans or kidney beans, drained
Brown the turkey meat in a medium to large sauce pan. 
Add all dry seasonings, onion and carrot. Sauté for about 2 minutes on medium high heat. 
Add beer and simmer for about 5 minutes. 
Add tomatoes and beans. Simmering on medium/low for 30 minutes. Adjust salt if necessary.
Garnish with fresh avocado, sharp cheddar, plain Greek yogurt and a squeeze of lime. 
This is roughly 300 calories per serving with 35g protein and 31g carbs for the chili. 
With the toppings it is around 400 calories. 
Yield: 4 servings.
