Texas Girl’s BBQ Dry Rub

Simple simple simple. That’s the name of the game today! Dry rub a big hunk of delicious Bone-In Pork Butt. Then pressure cook or slow cook that beautiful thing until it falls apart. Serve it up with some BBQ sauce and you will have a Happy Mother’s Day!
I always have BBQ with some Creamy Cole Slaw. A perfect combination!
Try serving this on some Cauliflower Tortillas to keep your Mother’s Day Paleo Friendly and Gluten Free!

 

Here’s the Rub
(Of course all organic if you can. We just do with what we have around here. So some is and some ain’t.)
2 tbsp chili powder
1 tbsp coconut palm sugar*
2 tsp onion powder
2 tsp cumin powder
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp smoked paprika
1 tsp celery salt
1/2 tsp dry mustard
1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
*you can use regular brown sugar if you don’t have coconut sugar
Press and rub this into chicken, beef or pork. Wrap and refrigerate for up to 24 hours. Then cook however you want. We will be pressure cooking today to save time and energy!
